Round One Broadband Stimulus is Done

The bell has sounded on round one of the Broadband Stimulus application process the doors closed Friday (August 14th, 2009) at 5:00 pm with an extension for electronic filing until this Thursday (August 20th, 2009) at 5:00 pm. Round two has already begun with a plethora of anticipated improvements in both the process and definitions. Leadership and Strategy Toward a Sustainable Future

Energy, Broadband, Transportation are each part of a foundation for a strong future. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act “ARRA” has seeded the process of investment into our own economy and our children’s future.

Smart Grid + Broadband Stimulus = National Broadband Strategy

The ARRA (Stimulus Bill) has a number of provisions including considerable funding for transportation and infrastructure all designed to create jobs and provide a sound foundation for an energy independent future. The upcoming Broadband Conduit Act should insure a sound “Dig Once” approach to transportation and infrastructure projects.
